How long have you been racing BMX ?
I have been racing BMX for 4 years this year

How did you get into BMX racing ?
Because my father is the dealer of ‘Haro’ in Chile. He wanted me to model the bikes to start with, but after that I loved it too much and started training to become the #1 of Chile.

You went to the UCI training centre in Switzerland, did you like it ?
Yes too much! I learnt too much! It teaches you so much, how to be professional in many things, to concentrate but and the training is really hard. I have many desires to return!

You raced the European Championships in Switzerland in 2005; do you think the European girls are much better than elsewhere ?
Yes the level in Europe is much better than in Latin-American, there are too many fast girls in Europe.

Who was your toughest competition in Europe ?
Shanaze Reade, she is very powerful and can jump well, she’s very fast. I think she has a good trainer and a good plan.

You made the semi-final at the Paris World Championships, were you disappointed you didn’t make the final ?
No because it was my first World Championships and I have only been racing 4 years.

Are you going to race in Brazil ?
Yes of course, I can not predict the future, but I am training hard, I will have to wait to find out if I can make the main.

Name two up and coming riders from Chile ?
Camila Guerra, she is 8 years old and I think she made the final in Paris. Cristobal Palominos, 3 times World Champion.

Do you have any plans to come back to Europe ?
I would love to come back because there are so many girls in Europe who race BMX, but I think it’s very expensive, but if it becomes possible, then I will be happy to come back.

Any thank you’s ?
I think everything what I have done is thanks to my Papa, has been my great support in everything, he has always looked for the best thing for me and I think without him I would not be the woman I am today, many thank you’s Papito, I love you!
