The newest version of the Thomson stem is machined from 7000 series aluminum. Lightweight - 50mm stem weights approximately 199 grams. The new stem features a much lower stack height, thicker handlebar clamp and a switch to using 6mm bolts in all 8 positions. It is available in black. It takes in excess of 400 foot pounds of torque to get the handlebars to slip, no stem comes close to that number.

Precision CNC machined out of 6061-T6511 billet aluminum. Precise tolerances for better fit, strength and performance. Cutouts on side with see through slots to reduce weight.

Comes with 18-8 stainless steel bolts, so no more rusting.

The Profile Acoustic stem sports a hollow body and a slick front-load design. It's plenty light with CrMo bolts at 9.6 oz.
